INTRODUCTION

Longan is a small tropical fruit that closely resembles the lychee, both in terms of taste and appearance. This fruit is believed to have originated in either the area between India and Burma or in China. It is now grown in various parts of the world such as Sri Lanka, South India, several Southeastern Asian countries as well as South China. 

The Longan fruit is a rich source of many vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. This fruit contains vitamins B1, B2 and B3 as well as Vitamin C. It has a high content of minerals such as copper, iron, potassium and magnesium. It is a good source of dietary fiber and protein as well.

 


桂圆又叫龙眼,很多人曾经问桂圆和龙眼的差别,其实两者就是同一种东西,没有差别。

为什么叫桂圆呢? 在封建时代由于龙眼是犯忌,所以为了避讳,就不可以称龙眼。由于桂是广西的别称,且广西产的龙眼非常圆,所以就称桂圆。  


如果是去壳去核,只留果肉,晒干后就叫桂圆。龙眼—含有糖、蛋白质和多种维生索等营养成分,历来被人们视为珍贵补品 。

龙眼也是重要的调补食品。可以水煎服用,也可制成果羹食用,还可与白沙糖共同熬成膏剂服用。


PRESERVATION METHOD

It is recommended to store in the refrigerator to preserve and maintain freshness. 


建议存放于冰箱以达到有效地保鲜效果。


HOW TO EAT

😋 SWEET SOUP WITH DRIED LONGAN, RED DATES AND GOJI 桂圆红枣枸杞汤


Ingredients: dried longan, red dates, goji, brown sugar

Instruction:  

1. Prepare some goji, dried longan and red dates with its seeds removed.

2. Put the red dates, goji and dried longan into the pot together and bring to boil, then turn to low heat and simmer for half an hour.

3. Add some brown sugar or honey to taste.


材料:桂圆,红枣,枸杞,红糖各适量

做法:

1. 将红枣洗净去核,枸杞与桂圆干洗净。

2. 再将红枣,枸杞与桂圆干一起放入锅中,大火煮开后再转小火慢煮半小时。

3. 煮好之后可加入适量红糖或蜂蜜即可食用。
